Klebsiella pneumoniae is bacterial pneumonia that is caused by infection with Klebsiella pneumonia bacterium. This bacteria usually live in the intestine and human feces. They are harmless bacteria’s when they are in the intestines. But as soon as they spread to other parts of the body they can be dangerous.

Klebsiella pneumoniae is a Gram-negative, non-motile, encapsulated, lactose fermenting, facultative anaerobic, rod shaped bacterium found in the normal flora of the intestines. It is clinically the most important member of the Klebsiella genus of Enterobacteriaceae. Supplementation with acetate under low levels was used as a novel approach to control the morphological development of Klebsiella pneumoniae aimed to improve 1,3-propanediol (1,3-PD) production. A full range of morphological types formed from rod shape to oval shape even round shape in response to different concentrations of acetate.

PNEUMONIAE) Shape – Klebsiella pneumoniae is a short, plump, Klebsiella pneumoniae urinary tract infection Klebsiella pneumoniae is the most common gram-negative bacteria encountered by physicians worldwide. This is a common nosocomial pathogen causing urinary tract infections, nosocomial pneumonia, and intraabdominal infections.
Klebsiella species are considered opportunistic pathogens colonising mucosal surfaces without causing pathology; however, from mucosae Klebsiella may disseminate to other tissues causing life-threatening infections including pneumonia, UTIs, bloodstream infections and sepsis (Paczosa and Mecsas 2016).
They are harmless bacteria’s when they are in the intestines.
